Abby and Allen are getting married! Met up with this fun-loving couple at Pullen Park in Raleigh for a 2-part engagment shoot. Abby and Allen are both pastors. They met at Duke Divinity School. Allen noticed Abby their first day of pre-orientation and the two grew as friends in student council. Allen popped the question at Pullen Park in Raleigh. He tricked Abby by having her boss plan a fake staff outing (pretty slick idea!) When Abby arrived at the park, Allen was the only one there. He led her around the lake and then dropped to one knee and popped the question. Her response was that he had the box upside down! Abby realizes, in hindsight, that probably wasn’t the right thing to say at that moment, but the “Yes” that shortly followed it makes it a great memory they can look back on now with a smile. They enjoy music, and Allen loves actually making music. Abby loves her cat, netflix, and volleyball.
Abby and Allen laugh easily, and they click extremely well together – they truly are just a super cute, intelligent, and genuine couple. I’m really lucky to have met them. And we also had some fun on the carousel! I was surprised at how well my stomach handled it, and Abby and Allen looked utterly smitten and happy together. Then we all headed over to Duke Chapel, where they first met. It’s such a beautiful place and filled with so many sweet memories for these two. I’m really glad they chose two locations that were so meaningful for them. Abby and Allen: Thank you for your genuineness, openness, and for sharing your story with me. I had a wonderful time photographing you both and I can’t wait for your wedding this October! I hope you love the photos!
